
That makes it all the more interesting to play to see how they'll make amends and if the game finally will live up to its vision and fan expectations. Surprisingly, Hello Neighbor 2 follows up on the original, where most developers would have abandoned the series after less than fair criticism. But this indie developer isn't giving up on the franchise and wants to prove its worth. It tended to creep us out incorrectly and could have done more to deliver the thrilling action-adventure experience we were all expecting. The original game didn't live up to the hype. There's quite a heavy burden on Hello Neighbor 2, but not of expectations more that there's pressure to succeed. It's more immersive and does help players feel more engaged with their actions. Though unfinished, the narrative feels stronger as well. It fixes bugs, lags and provides a more extensive world to work with. Having said that, we'll say that Hello Neighbor 2 is a vast improvement over the predecessor.

Sometimes, there's no strategic way to plan out your course of action as everything can change. While that makes the game challenging, it can be rather irritating as well. Avoiding the Neighbor becomes increasingly difficult considering that no route or action they take is the same. Hello Neighbor 2 adds an AI neural network that learns from player interactions. Recovering this information requires getting around each level undetected, but it's by no means easy.

That premise much translates into Hello Neighbor 2. And we sit there and wonder whether he's got something to hide from the rest of us.
